To unite and encourage our community in fellowship and prayer.
Welcome to the 55th annual Fort Lauderdale Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast. We are looking forward to April 28th!
If we were to walk through the streets of our city and ask people what they would pray for, we would hear a variety of different answers. These might include prayers for financial or work struggles, family issues, homelessness, abused children, wisdom for our leaders and many more. The diversity of these prayers is a reflection of the diversity of people and needs in our community.
These differences are just one reason why it is so important for us to gather together each year in support of and to pray for our civic leaders. This longstanding tradition has been part of the fiber of our community since 1962.
Why? We face multiple challenges every day, both personally and corporately. But we believe that together we are stronger, and collectively we can bring our needs to the Lord. 1 John 5:14 says, “And this is the confidence we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.” What an amazing comfort to know that God hears our prayers!
Thank you for joining with your community to support our leaders as we celebrate what our city is and pray for what our city can become. Together, lasting change is possible!
